Affiliate Summit Mentor

July 30, 2008 by mukil

It has been an adventurous day for me!

I was just wondering where to start, what to expect and how to move around at the Affiliate Summit East 2008. As I mentioned in my earlier post, this would be my first affiliate event - so, I felt that I have been left in a maze and I should find my own way out.

But, thanks to Teresa Caldwell - I have found a helping hand through the Affiliate Summit Mentor Program for the first timers at the event. It’s a fantastic concept to help first timers to get orientation of the Summit and a good guidance on what to expect there. The learning process to get the start is shortened and we could dive in to figure out ways to enhance our knowledge at the conference.

I have already begun to execute the basic ideas provided for the first timers and seasoned affiliate marketers alike - I have started networking!

I have created my profile at the Affiliate Summit Network, browsed around for like minded people and have started to establish contacts with them. One interesting personality I have made contact with is Ian Fernando! I have been reading his blogs for some time, and it’s great feeling that I could meet him in person at the Summit.

I should thank Teresa Caldwell once more for showing the way to network through Facebook. I have created my facebook profile today!

Networking is a great way to start… and I think I am on the right track!!

The Mentor program is fantastic. Teresa has done an excellent job pairing all of us up. I got to speak with the person I am mentoring a few times now and we both feel that this is a great way for her to make the most out of her first Affiliate Summit experience. I only wish this program was in place a few years back when I started going.

Enjoy your first Affiliate Summit and see you there!

Thanks for blogging about the Summit Mentor program. It’s also my first time attending and I’ve found the Mentor program as well as the Summit Network to be helpful. It’s nice to be able to make some connections before the actual event. See you in Boston!

Thanks for mentioning Teresa in your post. She has been incredibly helpful and informative. I consider myself lucky that the mentor program was started just in time for my first-time participation.

I too find Teresa very kind and helpful,As we can’t make it to the summit
this year.We are seeking a entreprenueral attendee that is knowledgeable
or at least eager in marketing /managing our program.
Crazy as it sounds ,we feel this is an excellent money maker for the right person and pays a % of the gross on all sales.
It’s a green product, that is used in all offices, clubs and associations.
No big pitch here just getting the word out as someone may know someone.Average sale is $700.00 on a $15.95 personalized product.
    Lots of residual sales.
Pay it forward and have a wonderful show.
